James Cameron's completely immersive spectacle "Avatar" may have been a little too real for some fans who say they have experienced depression and suicidal thoughts after seeing the film because they long to enjoy the beauty of the alien world Pandora. On the fan forum site "Avatar Forums," a topic thread entitled "Ways to cope with the depression of the dream of Pandora being intangible," has received more than 1,000 posts from people experiencing depression and fans trying to help them cope.

Those people should just all go out and kill themselves now and save us from their stupidity.

:nono: I wouldn't go that far. I think most of these people are impressionable teens, it's disturbing that they can dive into a depression after a movie disappoints them.

oh man I am just glad I have found a place where people are experiencing the same emotions as me. I may not be around as much now that I have been shown a site where I can cry about not living in a cartoon. See yall later.:crytears:

Man, thats crazy! I cant lie the first time I saw The Matrix I was a lil messed up for a few hours after the film. I was like what if Im in the matrix right now? However I didn't feel depressed or suicidal.

To borrow a line often used by my old partner;"F 'em and feed 'em fish heads!"

I'm glad movies don't affect me - although, I was a bit disturbed the first time I watched "Faces of Death"
