Much more like the tubo than the delicious robusto and CG from a few years back. I hope this changes in a little while.

It's an age issue, I think. Pete said at NHC when we were with him, Patrick, that the robustos were all rolled at the same time, over two years ago (that was this spring). So they are nicely aged now. The rest of them are of course newer. I bought 2 boxes of Black Tubos knowing that they'd need to rest a couple years, but I have no problem with that if it's a cigar I know I like.

At this point, the cg>robusto>tubo. Don't know about the new ones.

may need some serious sleep time then. black or robustos started off so-so as well but i understand are now smoking great. dracs and black tubos also seem to be perking-up. keep us posted when you next try another. thanks!

I'm not sold that it's purely an age issue, Nate. Pete also told us the tubo blend was tweaked a little from the Robusto/CG blend and I think I can tell a difference (age differences excluded). I just sent the new petite robusto to a guy we know who will definitely have a solid idea what's up and I'll report back when he smokes it. :)

The petit robusto is fantastic and the ones I have are NOTHING like the tubos. I am always looking to trade or buy these 3 packs so keep me in mind!

Bro, how would you compare the petite to the or robusto or cg?

The petit robusto is NOTHING like the tubo I said. Actually the only cigars comparable are the tubo and the OG CG. Both wrappers LOOK the same but the blend is different, IMO. The blacks from the recent 3 packs have a totally different wrapper.

Heres a good picture. The 5 from the left are the shaggy foot from the white box, the 2 after that are from the plastic wrapped 3 pack (I smoked this PR already), then the CRA black, Tenderloin, and T110. The white box packs are different from the plastic wrapped, IMO, but similar to the tubos and OG CG.

Got it on the tubos but you're saying the new petite robustos / robustos have different wrappers from the old robustos and corona gordas? That is news, at least to me! :glassesgr

I take it then, you also prefer the new petite over the new robusto and corona gorda?

Thanks for sharing!

That's a nice photo thanks. Does seem like the new sticks are of a different shade compared to the shaggies. Also see you haven't smoked the other two new sticks so ignore my last question. Cheers!

The new 3 pack of Blacks have a completely different profile than the OR, but they are still good sticks!
