So how about all those hard-to-get cigars like Opus, Anejo and so on. How dou you guys get hold of them? It is impossible to get them in Sweden and if we take a look on the internet sellers it is like 30$ or so a piece. Do you have a secret place to buy them from or do you just prawl around in the local stores and hope to find them? Or do you simply haul out the big wallet and pay up?

Most who get them here, get them from a local shop, in their neck of the woods. The online shops are going to be way over priced. Your best bet is to wait until a slae goes on here, and jump on them. Once you have 30 days and 25 posts on the board, you'll get acess to the trading room, where stuff comes up for sale on a regular basis. Until then It is nice to see you back, I like having the international influence in our discusions.

Ahh there are a trading forum as well, that I did not know. I have to explore that after 30 days I think!

In local stores in Sweden it is mostly Cuban cigars on the agenda. Nothing wrong with that but I personally prefere Non Cubans even if I like the Cubans as well. Opus and other rare cigars is non existant in Sweden. I guess if a rare cigar cost 30$ on the net it will probably cost 60$ in Sweden so the Swedish dealers do not import.

Damn, that is one hell of a mark-up....don't blame you for not wanting to pay those prices!

Honestly, your best bet is going to be to try to find someone to trade with you. Since you have access to things in Sweden that are hard to find in the US (for some), you should be able to find a trade partner. Being that you're new, you'd be expected to send your end first ... but we're cool guys, so don't worry about it :)

njstone: Yes, I guess that trading is a good alternative. I have to look into that.

All in the cigar buisness seems to be cool guys! I have not ever encountered a more newbie friendle comunity than the cigar comunity. 2 years ago on a rainy summer I just googled around and found a Swedish cigar forum. Since I had smoked some cigars on some New Years eve i registred and just asked some questions and BAM, 20 damn fine smokes just hit the mailbox. That is friendly if something is!
