Hi fellas. Been lurking on a few forums here and there for quite some time now and I've seen some with a lot of drama. That's why I was hesitant to join in and was just content at learning by lurking. Until I was ready. Lest I be the cause of troubles.

I've now been smoking cigars for about 5 years and feel that I know a little and can no longer go forward without interacting with fellow leaf heads. Its hard being stuck here in the Philippines. Very few cigar smokers around. At least publicly I think.

And so it begins...

Thanks UT. Precisely why I chose to join BOTL. More people here are better people. Sure, there sre a few jack A's from time to time, but they get dealt with promtly. That cigar later will be tastier. Can't wait till I close up shop.

Welcome from TN!

Whereabouts in the Philippines are you at? I've got a buddy that has a nice little villa in Angeles, just a couple of miles from Clark AFB, that is an avid cigar guy... not sure where he gets most of his smokes.. but.. every time I speak with him he's got one in hand....

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas. I live in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. About 8 hours away from Angeles mdwest. So a bit of a drive. My town is more of like a resort town. We get a surge of tourists, both local and international, during festivals and the holidays. Most of the time, its pretty laid back.

MD, if your friend is from Angeles, he probably gets his cigars like me (online), or he smokes local cigar (which are too bland imo), or he gets them from a store called Yats in Subic area. They import cuban cigars. But their prices are stratospheric.

Funny story. The main produce of province I live in is Tobacco. But we have crappy cigars, if you can call them that. Lol. The tobacco is mostly burley I think, which farmers sell to Cigarette manufacturers.

Another funny story. A long time ago, Philippines used to be one of the largest exporters of cigars in the world. Talk about getting lazy.
