Just found the site. Thought I'd drop in to say hello. I really like the chat feature, which was what got me to sign up.
Sittin, having a virtual herf is what I call "good computing".
From PDX, Oregon by way of Boise, ID. Originally in the tech sector working for Micron PC, once the tech bubble burst, I found my way to Portland to attend Le Cordon Bleu and follow my passion food. I have a keen ability to be able to break sauces down into individual flavors, enabling me to taste something and tell you the exact ingredients. It's kind of freaky to me, but I like things with big flavor.
I smoked my first stogie when I was 15, and continued to have 1-2 every year until I was about 28. It was shopping for my bachelor party stogies that forced me to catch the bug. I started off with Zino "Chubbies" and have worked my way through just about every known manufacturer to date I can think of (there's probably 15 or so brands that are virgin to me still).
I've gone from very very mild (Gispert, RyJ, Davidoff) to very very dark (Camacho Trip Mad, SLR Serie G Mad, Fuente Anejo). I love all flavors, but I tend to lean torwards the bigger sticks due to the value of the smoke. I find too many "light" sticks to burn far to fast, lowering the value for my dollar.
It's for that reason my top 5 Dailies would be:
Omar Ortez Maduro Toro
Saint Luis Rey Maduro Robust
Rocky Patel Edge Maduro
Gran Habano Vintage 2002
Nica Libre Maduro Churchill Size (cant remember company name for size)
Of the sticks I still have yet to try, the ones that really stick out are:
Liga Privada ANYTHING (nobody in Portland carries them, and I can't afford a box)
Nording by RP (just haven't gotten around to finding one just yet)
Illusione Epernay (getting ready to order a few Culebra's for a friends upcoming wedding)
Tatuaje (they have so many good looking sticks, I just haven't had the heart to order one. I want to do them justice and get a sampler so I can see what's what. Once I get some room in the humi, I'll be on it.)
So, it's nice to meet you all, as I'm sure we'll be chatting much more in the future.

P.S
Jp8,
I gotta hit my 5 posts before you can start destroying my property bro. Atleast I'll have time to fortify my house before the bombs start to drop.
Edit:
DAMMIT...THIS IS POST 5!! ok...you can start to load the mortars. PM on the way. Thanks again for helping with my Liga Cherry Poppin'.
