I seem to taste a cigar best in that size, oh and 2 kids and working 60hrs a week about all I have time for;)
That's fair, I was just going to say I prefer the epi1 over epi2 in that case which is a CG.

In the robo in same price range I prefer the boli RC to those others or the h upmann Connie 1 but it's all personal preference

Only smoked JL2 & PSD4 in CC robusto loved them both JL2 more. Now I'm cracked out and want to gather as many boxes as possible as budget will allow.

I personally would take RASS over Hoyo any day, but it's all about preference. I wouldn't ever say RASS is consistent as you can get some dark wrappers, lighter wrappers etc all affecting the taste. If you like a more full-bodied cigar go with the RASS. The Hoyo is a lighter and more subtle/complex cigar. To me, Hoyo's have cedar in their profile that makes it a little too boring for my preference. I don't mind cedar, but Hoyo is just lacking something for me.

I agree with Chef above, for Robo's I like Upmann Conny #1's for sure. Bolivar RC's are good too but definitely different than the other cigars listed.

If those are your choice, I'd go with the Hoyo's. I am not a fan of the RASS. I tried real hard, and they just never wowed me...

A robusto that wowed me, would be the H Upmann Connoisseur 1, or the Bolivar RC if to want something more bold and in your face. To me, the Bolivar (fresh) has some more cedar on the front end, reminds me of a Partagas. The H Upmann box that I'm smoking right now is from 2011, and it is real smooth. Smoking great right now... Ymmv...

Agree with Ryan and a couple others for the RASS over the Hoyo, just never been wowed by the Epi 2 or Epi 1. Also agree with both of them that Upmann Connie 1s and Bolivar RCs are better choices.

I'm also new to CCs. Only had one RASS which I really enjoyed and likely will get a box at some point. Never tried HDM, actually waiting on my first HDM order (the Le Hoyo De San Juan)...heard good things, can't wait to try!

BUT with my limited knowledge I wanted to say I couldn't agree more with the aforementioned rec's: Boli RCs or the Connie #1s. Got boxes of both and couldn't be happier! They're different so hard to say which is better, as others have said its a matter of preference. Also if your looking for a quick, flavorful, budget friendly smoke I would highly recommend the HUHC's....at around $100 a box they're hard to beat! Not to mention delicious!! Good luck!

CH JH! Lol. Seriously, RASS would be my choice. A lot of Habanophiles are raving about this last year's harvest, saying RASS have never tasted better. If you could get your hands on FEB 14, MAR 14, or ABR 14, go with RASS. HDM 2s are damn fine cigars too, but RASS from those dates are great right now.
