Has anyone had these? There's a decent sale on 2 boxes of these to bring them down to about $7 a stick and was wondering if they're worth trying out? I've read some reviews that say they're similar, if not the same as an Epicure 2.

Thanks for all the help
Tom

Haven't tried one yet.
If you're thinking then that based on a review comparing it to a stick you never had is enough justification to buy 2 boxes because they're currently on 2 box special sale, then I dig your style....but would recommend sampling some things from the other side before over committing to something you may not like.

Not to mention those are short robos which isn't a killer size imo

What cc have you liked thus far?

Lol I was looking at a box which is about $100 and to get another box would only be $50 more, seems like a no brainer right?!:banghead::happy:

I've been intrigued with the epi2 for a couple weeks now and seeing that I tend to enjoy the smaller sized sticks it sort of fit right in (as well the epicure de luxe). Robusto and corona are my go to sizes as of late.

I really enjoyed the RASS, HUHC, RASCC, San Cristobol El Principe.

80 shipped for single box at reputable vendor, and can choose 2012 date code:) that's the route I'd go if you wanted them.

Epi2 is much different imo than the ones you have liked. I'm not saying bad choice, nor is the Epi de luxe if you want it. Just hinting that 2 box commitment is a lot if you've never had, especially based on perceived deal.

I'm currently on a robo kick also. Epi2 even with age is low on my preference totem pole. Just got rid of a bunch of 08 Epi2 that didn't excite me.

So your saying probably not a good idea to grab a box of these right away? I've heard mixed reviews on the epi2 and feel like it's something people either really really like, or nothing to impressive to that individual. Which always intrigues me more and more to try it out lol. I just found that $80 deal and don't know how I missed that, dumb mistake lol!

What's your go to robusto right now if you don't mind me asking?

I Just Meant For 2 boxes. 80 bucks isn't hard to swallow if you don't like them, worst case could bomb to people that would like them.

I don't really have a go to, I rarely smoke the same thing twice within any reasonable time frame. I have some favorites, but mostly things you won't find in stock unfortunately.

And I find the epi2 overly in your face. Lacks refinement imo but ironically the epi1 is much more tame and enjoyable

I find the Epi Espec. the least enjoyable Hoyo.
too big,underfilled,very mild.
The Esp.1 is my pick among the Especials.
The pick of this marca for me is the des Dieux, smoking one now....super stick...........

I personally really like these. I have a box of the 2012 code. Very similar to the other epicures. Creamy, smooth, and mild...IMHO. I find epicures to be really good young and don't benefit from extensive aging.

Personally I like them way better than the Epi#2 and I very much like the Epi#2. I had my first one a while back in a LCDH and left with a box. A few weeks later I ordered 3 more boxes.
$7/stick seems a bit too good to be true though.... that's what an Epi#2 costs in Havana at a LCDH right now as of this week. Actually $7/stick is less than the Epi#2 if you consider the exchange to CUC
