Okay, a 50 cab from Nov 2009. Does $765 seem reasonable? Its right at about $5.40 more per stick for the 7+ years of age time.
Again these are the Hoyo Epicure Especial which as most know is a 50 ring by 5.5".
What say you?

How bad do you want them? If you want them bad enough then sure.

I wouldn't pay that much.
Yeah I'm torn. I've been meaning to bring a cab of these in and the extra age would be cool, but $5.40 more makes it an expensive robusto for certain.

I'm sure you have paid more for a Fuente before tho.

If you want them, get them!

I grabbed a 50 cab of them from the initia releas in 2008. I love them. But to each their own.

Yes, yes I have.
Your 50 cab did you buy it in 08 or recently from 08?

I bought it from a friend who has been aging boxes for a long time and takes care of his humidor. I would not buy aged from a vendor unless it was someone whom I knew took great care of their stock.

You should bring some of these simple questions to chat tho. Plenty of Cuban smokers in there

Do you how they have been stored? If you do and you want them then go for it.
No Dave I don't really. I've had good luck with this seller each time I've ordered from them tho. I sent them an email discussing provenance, method of storage ect. I also requested a photo of the actual sticks in question.
Man, this cigar discussion is making me have smoke cravings! :cigar:

Just be careful. I have ordered some aged sticks from vendors that I trust and have been disappointed. I find "aged" to be hit or miss. Rather buy and age my own.

They were ERDM CS , a cigar I know well. The flavor just wasn't there. I got the distinct impression that at some time another these cigars were kept at low humidity and then re-hydrated.
Ah, that would do it. Damn shame.
I think I'm going to pass on these. Under perfect conditions I'm sure they'd be great, but I hate being disappointed by things that are supposed to make me happy.
Instead I've pulled the trigger on a 50 cab of Por Larranaga petite coronas and some more Esplendidos. :cigar:
