Huge OIL SPILL..One County Over From Me!! WTF!!

Unbelievable, but sure enough another large oil supplier provides us with a very large spill into our main river system one county over. You have to read this...I live right on the river!:hanghead:

Makes me sick . Maybe with all these leaks and mishaps with oil going on lately, more focus will be given to alternative energy sources??

that is a whole lot of oil. i would think they would have failsafes to prevent thinks like this from happening. bad thing is most of america wont even hear about it. I know we need oil but there has to be a better way to transport it.

I just found out that we may me asked to leave our homes if it reaches the stretch of river we live by. If you goggle my ady you will see I live next to the river and a lake above our dam called Marrow Pond. We are really upset about this and not sure what to do. The wildlife has already suffered and people with well water are in a panic. We have city water thank God but we have alot of wild life in our back yard and park. People in the Battle Creek area by the river said the smell is horrable and even there pets are sneezing and coughing! Not good at all my friends:hanghead:

It's official. the Oil Spill has finaly reached my town and we are about 300-400 yards from the river and you can smell it. Helicopters and news crews have been all over the place with goverment officials. News are saying it could be the worst tragity in the midwest to date. I'm not sure what to do but it has our nieghborhood pretty concerned.
