I have two desktop humidors (100 ct) and can never seen to get them up to 70. I've tried beads, pucks, solutions and none of them seem to help.

I'm hoping someone can suggest a better way to keep things at an acceptable humidity.

Thanks!

70 is not a magic number. Are your cigars smoking fine? if so don't see the problem. Did you do all the "dummy" checks, calibrate hygro, check your seal? I tried for months trying to keep my humi up at 70 but held at 68. The cigars are smoking fine so i'm happy with 68.

70% is about 5% too high for my NC's and about 10% too high for my CC

If you are holding in the 60's somewhere, and the sticks are smoking well, then you are good.

Yeah, they seem to get a bit tight if I store them at 65-68 with my NC stuff. I have never had any ill effects from it. There is a reason they sell 60% heartfelt beads. I would not store any cigar above 68, on purpose, and would not store a CC over 65 on purpose either.

I wouldn't worry about it. You are the best hygro, if they're smoking they way you like um, why worry about a number? If not, then you know you need to make a change
