With Thanksgiving approaching, just thought it would be nice for everyone to share what they are thankful for. For me I regret that I take a lot for granted every day. I am blessed with a great family, wife and friends and so much more that the Lord has done for me. Seems to be the greatest blessings that we take for granted.

I thank God every single day for my family and friends. But, I too take a number of things for granted. So this year I'm thankful for the opportunity to get a great education, for our troops all around the globe, for every blessing that helped get me through my relapse of depression, and that my loved ones are all in good hands while I'm away at school.

I am thankful also for family, friends, a good job, our freedom, a roof over my head and all of my BOTL. I am especially thankful that my kids and their families are doing ok and that our brave men and women in our military have sacrificed so much for our freedom; much like Christ who died for us.

i have a family that has never had a ton, but has never been really low, and has always backed each other. i have a wife who has put up with me for more than a decade, and still flirts with me. i have steady employment that covers my bills, with enough left over that i can enjoy myself a little. i live in a society which, for all our problems, is still one of the best things going as far as social constructs go, with the protections of my rights from local responders up to our armed forces (with maybe more effort needed from the legislative branch). i have been sober two full years plus, and got that way before i did really irreparable damage to myself or my loved ones. and i have more cigars than i could smoke in a full year!

Everyday I thank our Father for blessing me with great family, friends, health, along with the roof over our heads, the food and water we have, and living in a country where we have our freedom.
