Last day of vacation and I blew out my right foot. Weird situation but painful as could be. Virtually no sleep last night from the throbbing pain.

Went to Doc in the box today and didn't get much of a diagnosis, just some pain meds. I have to go to an Orthopedic in a couple of days for more x-rays. Looking like a stress fracture, if not then it's a mid-foot strain or sprain.

I ran a lot on the beach this week with the Mrs., so I'm assuming that was the culprit.

It's friggin inconvenient on crutches! Especially in a 2-story house. I had to cancel a big trip and golf outing this week as well.

Maybe I'll get caught up on my smokes in the meantime.

Burning a LP #9 in honor of the BOTLs that I missed on Friday night in Deltona.

Here's to a speedy recovery! I feel you on the crutches bro, I was on them for 12 weeks in college. Got ripped in the shoulders and my left calf! LOL! Seriously tho, hope all goes well with the orthopedic specialist!

Wow...That sucks.

Praying for your recovery man. Let's hope that it is not as serious as it sounds and you will be back on both feet in no time!

Brothers,

Thank you for the kind words and prayers. I have felt them and they are greatly appreciated. I sincerely mean it.

I just finished with my Orthopedic Foot Specialist.

My diagnosis is partial tears of the Peroneus Brevis Tendon and Peroneus Tertius Tendon and a potential stress fracture in my 4th metatarsal. The x-ray didn't reveal a stress fracture but it often doesn't show up for 2-3 weeks and sometimes not at all. Treatment is virtually the same. R.I.C.E.

Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation

I have a short walking boot and no longer have to stay on crutches. I can golf as long as I don't walk on it too much and don't have pain. (That part is mine as he didn't say 'no golfing')

I need to elevate and ice it when possible throughout the day. Back to the Dr in 2 weeks.

Since I need to rest and elevate, I decided to make a stop downtown at Corona's on my way home.

Thanks again brothers. I'm feeling better already. :)
