My understanding is that having 'em at all is against the law if you're a US citizen.

Acctually it is illeagal for US citezens to buy/posess/comsume any product from Cuba, no matter where we are in the world. Of course enforcing that law becomes more and more difficult the further away you get.

i remember i was told as a US citizen you can't even smoke a cuban cigar if you are in another country...i thought it was B.S., no way is that the law!!
sure enough looking into it, it is the law!
you can't buy,smoke,posess or be gifted any thing that was manufactered in cuba, no matter where you are.
that sucks...

Yeah and as a US citizen if you manage to get a visa to Cuba you are not allowed to spend any money there whatsoever. Some pretty crazy laws we have.
