I agree with Goingpostal, as long as you have control over the situation, and she's enjoying it, and you don't turn into one of those crazy child model parents, I can't imagine it being anything but fun.

I have a close cousin who's daughter has been a model from 6 months old, she's almost 5 and I'm sure you've seen her ads for Macys, Toys R Us, etc. She is a great kid. It's all up to the parents to keep the kid grounded. For Mariana it's playing dress up. They have no ego at that age, it's just fun.

Just make sure that as a parent, you can handle it and not let it take over you... at the young age, the kids don't really have a choice, it's all on the parents...
If you are confident that you can handle it, and not let it get out of hand, then why not?

I agree with the other BOTL, Keep yourself in charge and just let her have fun.

Don't turn into one of those lunatic parents!!!

My nephew did some modeling when he was 2 and it was a fun experience for him as well as my brother. But my brother isn't one of those parents that would push his kid into the limelight for the ego boost or bragging rights. If you feel comfortable letting your daughter in the show, then do it but don't let her over-inflate your ego and you'll be fine.

we've been considering the same thing coincidentally enough... one thing we've thought of in terms of not letting it get out of control is to put any pay/earnings into an education-specific account, like a 529. This way, it isn't spending money and serves a great purpose later in their life. Just seems to me like it is one way to throttle the situation.
