Well over a year ago we got satellite. Love it, the picture quality is great, channel line up is nice and less down time then I had with my cable.
When they installed it I asked that they leave all my cables in tact in case I wanted to move a TV or add another in a different room. So they did, I thought.
The wife and I decide we wanted to have a TV in the bedroom again so we could watch the news up stairs before going to bed. So I called the satellite company and asked what I need to have a 3rd TV. They said as long as 2 TV's are not on at the same time on channel 2 I can have as many TV's on channel 2 as I wanted. At this point I'm as happy as can be. I grab an old TV we had in the apartment and go to work. I start changing lines and cannot get a signal. WTF I think. after an hour and a half I'm cursing out the satellite company for not leaving my lines in tact. I group all the lines thru 3 splitters and still no signal. My main TV and the basement one still work tho. 3 hours now go by and I have tried everything. I'm sweating, I'm tired and aggravated and ready to call the satellite company and scream. So I think before I do that let me carry the 42" old huge non flat panel TV up stairs. I get it up there almost dropping it twice, I'm out of breath and pissed. I connect and there is a signal. I just drop to the floor.
Come to find out that old TV we had in the apartment could not hand the signal. I had tried every setting on it. I jut laugh and walk away. A 15 minute job turned into 4 hours!!
Well on Sunday its off to find a 20 to 30" flat panel I can mount on a swivel arm on the bed room wall. Oh and I got to carry the monster back down stairs.
So for now I'm going to freeze outside and smoke a Diablo.
