Yeh I went from 65% boveda to 65% heartfelt tubes to save ( albeit a small cost )of having to replace bovedas every 6 months or so and has back fired . I'm being patient a little longer then maybe a swap back .

Here's humi pic forgot to add not much but great for me ;)

It sounds like that thing isn't sealing. Move all that into a Tupperware and see if it stabilizes then you know its the humidor (which most desktops don't seal great). Where is this humidor in your house and do you have forced hot air? This can also cause a poorly sealed humidor to rapidly dry out

Yea, go Tupperdor. I struggled with my humidor for years. I finally tried Tupperware a few months ago. It's ugly, but it sure works. Steady as a rock!

Yeh I'm pretty sure this is the case that it isn't sealed properly /leaking. I've re-sealed around the analogue hygrometer, re-sealed the hinges plus I've recal'd hygros . I'm going to silicon the glass on the inside with odorless food grade silicon and hopefully that does it . If not I'll keep it as a gear storer eg herf stand, old wrappers, lighter, cutter etc and be on the look out for a new one .

Cheers ;)

I went boveda in mine. I'm on my second humidor, my first one was garbage. The one I have now is great. My first one wouldn't hold humidity well at all. Go tupperdor and throw a boveda in it.

Yeh I'm kinda hoping I can sort it or at least buy another one to solve it before tupperdore as Bruce said tuppers are ugly and mine sits in lounge room not to mention a tupperdore would make me buy more too lol

Would glueing some felt over where the lid seals around help seal u think ?

Cheers

Davo, I didnt heed the warnings. I went from small, to larger, to larger, to coolidor. I got stashes all over the house. I finally went the end table humidor unit. Not cheap, but solved my problems, for now anyway. The coolidor/tupperware definitely woks, no doubt. I just wanted something that was functional and looked nice. Whatever you do, get something bigger than you think you will ever need, because eventually, you WILL need it. Good luck !

I say that if I had to go the tupperdor/cool idol route again, I'd choose the collider because it regulates temps so much better than Tupperware. But I say go wineador over all. It's more expensive but so much easier to set and forget anywhere in the house.

After you buy your first humidor the truth becomes very clear. Never enough room. Coolidors allow you to expand and store in the original box or package. Some times I think we should create a swap system. Out grew my 50 quart, who needs one looking for 100. etc etc. I had three or four 180 qt until the wife finally said enough and we built the monster humidor.
