That plus Goodell wanted to fine him but they couldn't prove anything. Getting him for failing to cooperate was the best he could do.

here is my attitude.

you have a bunch of men playing a kids game. favre is playing with guys in thier 20's. most of these football players have a high school/college mentality. I am not saying they are dumb, its just a sports locker room mentality.

now lets move on too the female employees of the NFL, individual teams, and the networks covering the nfl. if you look at most of the females involved with the sport, they are nothing more than a cheerleader. Both so called media people involved in the latest 2 NY jet scandalls are nothing more than NFL eye candy. they are nothing more than cheer leaders.

in high school and college, the players are bangin the cheerleaders. Remeber the football parties in high school? these are just people who are a little bit older, but they still have the same sports/sex mentality.

I think Goodell should have Pete Rose'ed Favre as he as shown the last 3 years that he puts himself and his legacy above anybody or anything else. What he did can be defined as sexual assault and to punish Rothlisberger for what he did and to slap the wrist of Favre sends a very bad message in the NFL.

I've lost respect for Goodell and Favre as well.

Personally I think that Goodell had some sort of seceret talk with Farve. His investigation would drag out so Favre could keep on playing this year and it will end and be all forgotten about after Farve really retires for good.

Goodell dosen't have the cajones to suspend the "legendary" Brett Favre. It will also draw even more bad attention to the league if he did. So it's best for Goodell, the NFL and Brett to just sweep this under the rug and it will all be over at the end of the year when Brett retires.
