Handicap Scooter Bumper Car Competition At Walmart Ends In 2:30 AM Arrest Of Drunken Louisiana Guy

An early morning game of drunken bumper cars--using Walmart handicap scooters--was broken up Saturday morning by Louisiana cops who arrested a 22-year-old man who copped to driving to the store while intoxicated.

Officers with the West Monroe Police Department arrived at the Walmart around 2:30 AM in response to a call about a disturbance. Store management told cops that a group of intoxicated suspects were “playing ‘bumper cars’ with the handicap scooters in the store,” according to a probable cause affidavit.

A police sergeant contacted Christopher Butler, who appeared “very intoxicated.” Butler, pictured at right, admitted driving his 2004 Ford truck to the retailer after consuming “five to six beers.” A subsequent Breathalyzer recorded Butler’s blood alcohol content as .133 (the legal limit is .08).

Butler’s fellow bumper car enthusiasts apparently escaped arrest.

AUGUST 10--A Louisiana man arrested yesterday for driving around a Walmart parking lot with his penis exposed explained to cops that “he gets aroused” when visiting the retail giant, according to a police report.

Travis Keen, 28, was busted on an obscenity charge and booked into the Ouachita Parish jail, where he is being held in lieu of $5000 bail.

Keen, pictured in the mug shot at right, was collared after a witness reported to police that a man driving a Ford Taurus drove past him “with his penis exposed.” The witness, who tailed the Ford as it drove around a Walmart parking lot in Monroe, told cops that when the suspect “saw a female in the parking lot he would stop and watch them.”

When Officer Colby Spillers confronted him, Keen reportedly “stated he did have his penis out because of past experiences he had at Wal-Mart. Keen stated when he comes to Wal-Mart he gets aroused.”

Thankfully, Keen did not further detail what it was about the retailer that so turned him on. Perhaps it was just the people of Walmart.

FORT MYERS -

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with video voyeurism on Saturday after being caught taking cell phone videos under a woman's skirt at a Fort Myers Walmart.

Fort Myers Police were dispatched to the Colonial Boulevard Walmart store around 12:30 p.m.

A loss prevention associate with the store told officers that he observed the suspect, later identified as Joshua L. Kendall, acting suspiciously in the menswear department.

Video surveillance showed Kendall following a female victim around the store and bending down several times to place a cell phone underneath her dress.

After he takes the videos, he is seen returning to his cart and looking at his cell phone for several moments.

The loss prevention associate notified the store manager of the situation and continued to monitor Kendall until police arrived.

Kendall told officers that he was approached by the victim regarding the videos, but Kendall denied all allegations.

The victim advised that she wished to press charges against Kendall and he was taken into custody.

His cell phone, along with video surveillance was submitted into evidence.

Kendall was released Saturday on a $1,000 bond.

Just for clarity, I wasn't saying those incidents were Louisiana specific, just that he was pulling up results from the same area. Not sure if that's because he's searching that area, or if those are just the top results. :scratchhe
