lA FLOR DOMINICANA CORONADO ESPECIAL SUNGROWN CORONA GORDA
OLIVA SERIE G ROBUSTO CAMEROON
LA FLOR DOMINICANA DOUBLE LIGERO CHISEL 5 PACK NATURAL TORO
PERDOMO CHAMPAGNE ROBUSTO CONNECTICUT

These would be the four I order. I like LFDs and Olivas. I have not had anything bad from Perdomo. but thats just me.

It's hard to give you a sugestion, only because I don't know where your tastes run. However, have you considered purchasing from another retailer other than thompsons? If you do a little checking, you may find selections you want for a cheaper price.

JM2C

for example, the 5 pack of the brazillias (which appears to be the toro) is 25 for this sale. JR's has them for 21, and you don't get on thompsons mailing list (which can be a pain when they call you @ dinner time and try to get you to buy more cigars...

My choices would be:

601 Blue robustos
601 Green robustos
DPG Series JJ maduro robustos
RP Decade toros or Tatuaje Havana VI Nobles

All 5 packs are $20 each when you buy four of them. That is a pretty good deal, don't you think?

As far as my taste go. I want to try some new stuff so I welcome all suggestions. However I am fairly certain I will order the LA FLOR DOMINICANA DOUBLE LIGERO CHISEL 5 PACK NATURAL TORO

I've thought about doing this deal many times. I'd go with the LFD chisels, Tat Havana Nobles, 601 Green, and the DPG Seriee JJ Maduros.

Sticks I enjoy from that list:

Tat Red
DPG Black
RP Decade

That said, I haven't tried most of 'em. I'd love to know what you actually end up ordering.

I am seeing a lot of DPGs on here which is great because they are a favorite of mine. But if I was going to do some DPGs I would do one of these two samplers:

http://www.cigar.com/cigars/viewcigar.asp?prod=SP-JXASST20

or

http://www.cigar.com/cigars/viewcigar.asp?prod=SP-JXASST19

so I think I am going to go with 2 packs of the LFD Chisels, 1 pack of LFD Coronados, and 1 pack of the RP Decades. Add then I will pick up one of the two samplers above.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I appreciate the help.

Ditto on the Thompson's comment. The will hound you with lit and mail for the rest of your life. Second, there are always usually cheaper places to buy.

That being said...chisels are great

Personally I would go check out the 5 pack frenzy on our sponsor famous smoke. They have buy 4 packs get the 5th free. No lists no calls just a good quality company that many of us have dealt with.

If you adhere to any of the advice given by other BOTL's, avoid using Thompson's. They are frowned upon by most members of this board because of their sales tactics, pricing, and overall quality (dried out) of their cigars.

Those are both good, but I'd go with the first:

15 for $50 vs. 10 for $40 - but I'm cheap like that!

Also, I've never ordered from Thompson's, but from what others who have said, I don't believe I would.
