I used an FM transmitter for a while as well and also went another route. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of car do you have?

I used to use FM transmitters when they allowed 89.7 (I think). The FCC has now disallowed that station and also have limited the power of the transmitters due to laws about strength of traveling towers. They suck now.

I believe he uses a tape deck cassette to play his ipod still. They work good. Also they make rca adapters so u can hook up your ipod.

03 Dodge Durango, as of now I have ben using the tape deck with the iphone.
I also drive my wifes Sabb 93, it has no tape deck or audio jack to plug it in.

Both have CD players, is there any adaptors for CD players?

Thanks,

I don't know of any adaptor for a cd player. I got frustrated with the FM adaptor and put in a direct line. It works great. I would suggest you look here or here for some options.

FM transmitters work fine for me when I'm in the middle of no where, but in the St Louis metro area they are more problematic.
I use a casette adapter in my comuter but luckily my BMW is wired for the iPhone.

Ya i have used them in the past, not that exact model, and they usually work pretty good in the middle of no where, but have some interference in City areas that there are a lot of radio stations.

If this doesn't end up working for you give BlueAnt a try. They have speakerphone bluetooth devices that clip on to your sun-visor and they work very well.

I always wind up changing out the existing stereo with ane that accepts a direct line.

There is no such thing as a cd adapter.

Does the blue ant have a line out jack??? I am thinking of going all bluetooth on wifes car.

Many moons ago the cd changers would intercept the car antenna. Does anyone know if this technolgy exists for an1/8th inch jack. that might be an option for first post.
