I had a heart attack on September 9th of 2006, everything is good after angioplasty and 3 steel stents but it was hell at the age of 48. I am good now but I sent this e-mail to my family. If you have any questions, ask and I will try and educate you with my experience....

Well I went to the cardiologist today. He said my blood work came back good. my good cholesterol is at 81, my bad is at 40! Pretty dam good I think. I go for an echo cardiogram next month. Echo cardiogram is a test that uses sound waves to create a moving picture of the heart.
He say's to keep doing what I am doing but try and lose some more weight. For my cholesterol, I am on a low cholesterol diet, I only eat egg whites, (eggbeaters, they are good, trust me!), very little red meat, I eat alot of almonds, and I also take fish oil pills, along with my usual medication, including 1- 325mg. aspirin at night (ASPIRIN IS IMPORTANT, you should be taking one too, it lowers the risk of a heart attack) If you ever feel chest pains, take one (1 ROGER, NOT 4) right away, it thins the blood, and get to the nearest hospital. He says we caught the heart attack I had early with min. heart damage and I should be able to live a normal life expectancy, with regular check-ups to monitor possible future problems.

Mind you I am not a doctor, so talk to him concerning taking aspirin or anything else.....

Bottom line..........I hope you BONEHEADS take my advise as doing some of the things above as it could help you stay out of the operating room, away from the paddles and live a better life! And above all, get a check-up and tell them heart disease runs in the family!! Love ya! Tim
