I missed these when they originally came out. I picked one up last night at the store and although they were a bit wet (just arrived Wed), the flavor made it my favorite Illusione so far (even over the Epernays!). Rich and decadent, leathery, mocha espresso goodness. This cigar starts like most others finish! We should be getting the other sizes in soon, i can't wait! Box buy for sure!

Anyone else had one, if so, whatcha think?

Thanks for the post, Craig Mac.

I never really seeked out any of the Illusione brands, but I'll be looking for this one for sure.

You should, you dont know what you are missing with a lot of them. Most recently I picked up a cab of epernays, they showed up a week or 2 ago and I have already torn through 15 or so of them. I wish I picked up more than one cab because they are absolutely delicious right now/

I've had the cg4, 888, 2, and 68 from their regular line. I loved the cg4 and 68.

But I've never had anything like the epernays. It seems I'll have to give them ol' college try. I know for certain I'll be getting at least a 5'er of the MK Ultras.

I smoked one today and was not impressed right now. Muted, flat...just nothing popped for me.
It was not wet, burnt just fine. Hopefully just young and will come into its' own soon.

I smoked one today and thought it was spot on. Good flavors and nice strength, a good alternative to the Original Document line, which I love.

I'm currently entering the second third on the MK Ultra. Wow. The first few puffs assault you with spice and pepper. And it's not a light pepper, but a full-on cracked black pepper.

Into the first third, the pepper dies down but the spice sticks around. There's a bevy of flavors: leather, sweet chocolate, and some dark roast coffee.

I haven't eaten anything yet and I'm definitely feeling the cigar's strength. This is no slouch -- someone new to cigars should not smoke this. This little coronoa packs a punch.

It has gone out on me about three times already. The burn is slow and erratic. It's definitely fresh and needs to rest for awhile. I'm an impatient son of a bitch, so I had to light it up immediately; I can't even imagine how much better these will be with some rest.

My advice: when you receive your stash of MK Ultras, put them aside for awhile. Perhaps even dry box them. But if you're impatient like me, be prepared for a little cigar maintenance when smoking them.

I pick up another cab of Epernays last month....check the bottom of the box and there will be a date stamp-Few cigar manufacturers are doing this these days. If the cigars are wet I bet they are young and I suspect they up the humidification for transport for less damage.

Another nod to the Epernay, one of the best and most under-rated smokes around, imvho. A perfect morning cigar if you don't feel like a Conny or something spicey.

The "Original Document" Illusione line is of course awesome as well. But I can't wait to try the Ultra!
