Hey guys! So I just got my internet installed and I'm now blazin' on my new T1 line. I'll fill you all in later on what's been going on the last 6 weeks or so, but suffice it to say for now that we're over jet lag, are in a house off-base and are enjoying Japan! We're still awaiting our household goods/furniture, but my cigars have arrived and are (for the most part) in miraculously good condition (praise God!).

So what have I missed, cigar-wise, in the last month or two? I just read a post about a Tat Black Petite Robo (presumably a give-away) and a reference to a new Black CG as well ... sweet! What else has been going on? (BTW, I did get a box of the BOTL Small Batch thanks to internet on my iPhone right before leaving the states, phew!).

Welcome back :) Glad you are settling in nicely! cigar wise viaje released a few limited smokes ( TNT, summerfest, DES and exclusivo Robusto ) Also tatuaje did a 6 x 54 cigar for outlaw cigars. 100 boxes ( blend similar to the east coast and different wrapper ). What else? Pepin did a cigar for empire cigars. Cheroot size. Amazing cigar with loads of flavor!

that's about it off the top of my head.

I know you can get Asian LEs in Tokyo, and perhaps other big cities too, but Misawa is a small town (40k). The only place I've been to that has cigars has just the usual suspects, and prices in Japan are so high that I'm not tempted in the least ... though they do have Cohiba Lanceros, which I've always wanted to try, $30 is kinda steep though, lol.

Ohiogazimus brother...Man I'm bummed you didn't contact me before you went over there. I spent three and a half years there (Misawa) and would have loved to have chatted with you about it. I still remember everything about it and loved it. Your pretty close to alot of sites there but Lake Tawada is the best and a beatifull mountain drive. I'm sure you will love it there and be amazed by what you see. The people are fantastic, the food amazing, and tons of different drinks. You have to try a real Singapore Sling! the Sontory Whisky is awsome too! Check out the vending machines off base...unreal what you can get in thoes things! Damn I wished you would have called me...O-well, have fun and enjoy your tour. If you ever get to the NAF Supply Hanger let me know. I miss alot of the people there and would love to know how there doing.

Glad to see you back. I also spent some time in Japan. Except I was on Okinawa being in the Marines. Loved it awesome food, good drinks, and yes I agree the vending machines are amazing. First time I ever had a ice coffee. Enjoy your stay and take in the sites. How are the exchange rates in was all right when I was there.
