Hey guys! Back in Kuwait on my way to Afghanistan AGAIN. Good thing im in the home stretch. Had some great cigars on my R&R and a LOT of great beer. Even dove into the world of pairing a good stogie with good scotch. Ate a ton of amazing food thanks to my wife and kids and the wonderful people of Germany.
Glad to be back on here and will be burning through a ton of stogies in the next few months.
Oh and a lesson learned: Big bold strong smoked German Rauchbier kills good cigars. Thought it was going to be an epic pairing but an epic cigar got knocked out. Scotch (Speyside) neat is good. Scotch neat in a snifter is better. Scotch plus a Partagas Presidente (Thank you Jack) is epic!
On beer: Anyone who lives near Yazoo Brewing is very lucky. Their smoked porter rules.
What else? Going back to Afghanistan after spending two weeks playing with my wife and my little baby girl, sucks.
At least I have you guys to take my mind of things occasionally!
