I'm pissed, should I be?

Since this is cigar related, I put it here. I posted an ISO on another board looking for a very specific older cigar. A guy posted up that he had some. I sent him a PM. Well, I get a PM back today that he was all sold out now, some other guy cleaned him out.


I'm like WTF :angryteet

I asked him what he meant he was sold out, it was my ISO! I don't know, maybe he thought the PM was from me so he sold? Not sure who I was more pissed with the buyer or seller?

Anyone have issue with scooping in on someone else's ISO?

yeah that was a dick move for sure, on the part of both parties. Some guy saw your ISO, and a person who had them, and went behind you and grabbed them before you could. And the guy who had them, is a dick for selling them out from under you. I'm not saying you make a federal case about it, but I wouldn't do them any favors. Then again, maybe the other guy bought them all so he could send them all to you. But if it wasn't BOTL, then I doubt that happened.

If it went down that quickly, while it wasn't the most honorable thing for the seller to do, I would be pissed as he was trying to help out a fellow ISO'er, someone just got to him first.

yet another reason to not allow replies in marketplace threads I guess. If that had been handled by pm's no one would have been the wiser to the guy having the sticks.

I'm with dprice on this one.. Dick move on both parties. I'd say he's making the offer to you by replying to your thread. If I had made the post, I would have considered those sticks yours unless you didn't get back to me in a reasonable amount of time (weekish).

The guy who stole them out from under you is kind of a tool too.

and his post offering up a 50 cab...then choosing to split into 5'ers...in YOUR thread.

Dick move...absolutely. Can't believe he didn't at least PM you an offer of any.

If I were one of the guys who bought from him.....I'd at the VERY least try to make sure you were hooked up in some capacity.

No, that was the second guy. The reason he split is because, just IMO, he was asking too much. I did PM, and he PM'd right back, but I was checking other sources.

No, this was the guy. I guess he felt bad, so he offered me some cardboard 10 pack he had. I mena he apologized and all. I have no ill feelings towards him, maybe he just made a mistake. Yes, it is cut-throat over there.

That's the way it is over there. Few rules, but they enforce the ones there are. Lots of other forums to buy/sell out there. Just my opinion though.
