I feel for you brother I've been dealing with a sore throat, massive phlegm and serious congestion ever since returning to the United States. I think I've finally stopped spitting out a ball of black snot in the morning! Thanks to Turkey you'd swear I was a cigarette chain smoker.

Glad I had it done when I was a kid,,,can't even imagine it as an adult. There isn't anything that makes your throat feel better except good old pain pills, if you can get it down your throat. Just the thought of it makes me feel like shyte. Feel better, man!

I'm having my tonsils out on Nov. 5. Not looking forward to the pain, or not being able to smoke for awhile. I may make my last cigar on Nov 4th my lone tat black, or maybe an Opus. Not sure yet tho. I wonder what the docs will say when I show up at the hospital with cigar breath!

Have you tried using a throat spray like Chloroseptic to kinda numb the throat and try to eat something a little more filling?

If that doesn't help...Taco Bell has a butt load of refried beans & cheese!
