Just an FYI for everyone. I'm still confirming this by having a friend update tonight, but if you were hoping to save on texts using iMessage with family and friends who have iPhones, make sure you get on their arses about upgrading to IOS5 as it doesn't work until they do.

Yup.. iMessage is iOS5 to iOS5 only.

Yeah. Was cool watching all my coworkers texts turn blue as they all migrated over to iOS 5.

lol text a buddy last night and it turned blue. I didn't even know he had gotten an iphone until that. He was still sporting a crappy BB when I saw him 4 days before that.

Yep. And for those who use an iPhone w/o iOS5 or Android, there is always 'WhatsApp' app. Free txt / video / pix messaging.
