A few laughs, familiar music, a couple interesting effects, barely passable acting and a totally boring storyline. My wife actually fell asleep for about 20 minutes halfway into the movie - and she was the one who wanted to see it. I like Harrison Ford, but he should have left the fedora in the closet.

In a nutshell ... it's about as exciting as taking a good afternoon dump ... but you feel so much better when it's over. Save your money and rent the DVD if curious. 1.5 out of 5 stars.

Wow. Must have been one terrible ass movie.

Believe it or not, i've never seen the other 2 or 3 Indiana Jones movies. They came out in an era when my faily was deep in the bowles of strict Bible baptist life; we weren't allowed to go to the movies. I've seen small parts of them here and there on TV since then, but never the whole thing.

Never seen ET either.

My mom did sneak me into see Gremlins whenever that was. We were down in Florida and she said not to tell anyone and she even got nervous that someone might see us walk in. We lived in WV. How's that for paranoia?!

Slept through a couple of 20 minute stretches and don't feel like I missed anything. I am not a true movie buff and don't know much about production, cinematography, etc; however, I found myself interested in the nostalgic feel to scenes and shots; the colors, camera angles, etc., much more engaging than the story or the characters. While watching, I thought I was impressed with Spielberg's direction. Some shots were cool because they felt, not so much like it was taking place the 1950's, but like you were watching movie made in the 50's. On hindsight, I suppose that if the direction was good, I wouldn't have been paying attention to it instead of the story. Harrison Ford must have used up all his energy in all the action, because his acting wasn't nearly as good as his better films. It was good to see Karen Allen appear. For a few minutes. Maybe if Ford hadn't 'mailed it in' Jones (and I) could have been more interested in Allen's character. I also had a very hard time whenever LeBoeuf was onscreen. Maybe it was just because he is multiple decades younger than everyone else in the movie, but I cringed a little every time he opened his mouth. Zero chemistry or mis-cast, or whatever - I felt he was totally wrong for this movie. In fact, where was the chemistry between anyone in the movie? I just never got pulled in. Blah.

Been there, done that...My first secular movie after moving to AL was Terminator and I let it slip that my dad had taken me to see it. My stepmom lost her mind.

This is really depressing. Raiders is probably my all time favorite film. Guess I will wait for netflix. Crap!

It sucks.

Bad writing, acting, plot you name it.
Don't waste your money on DVD's or Netfilx - wait a few days and it will be on the discount aisle at Blockbuster.

Unanimous feedback from my pals that have seens it state that special effects have replaced the charm and adventure that made the original such a treat
