Insert Authenticity

Please take a look at the insert in one of my boxes I just received. I ordered 7 boxes recently from the same vendor and the inserts look like this:

The words are off based on all the other versions I see..which look like this:

What say ye?

From a 2007 box, I have the 2nd version, but the color looks like the top.

So you're saying nothing to worry about Greg? I just invested over a grand in this order so I guess I'm just questioning a little..never seen this version of the insert. The smell, the look, the feel, the boxes..everything else looks great. But I took one look at the inserts and they looked funny.

Did they recently change the font?

My insert looks like the top, but reading from the English version, my says, "These Havanas...", not "These Habanos..."

Let me check another box.

I asked around, it seems to be 2007 started the large number of variations including format changes.

Ginseng over at CP is always an expert on this stuff and noticed alot of different variations starting in 07.

Yeah, that guy knows his shit. Another important aspect, besides the font, is the 'feel'.

Yes, send me some too and I will validate their authenticity. Seriously, I hope they are the real deal. As another BOTL stated earlier, this is the scary part about acquiring CC's.

But seriously, these are the real deal. The vendor is top notch, I just never seen these inserts. Looks like no problem here fellas.

I hope this helps anyone else who recently received boxes and was wondering about the inserts. I'm glad we have communities like this!

Just another version of "it's Cuba", lol. Glad to hear there's no issues.
Beyond that, if you are comfortable with the vendor, there should be no issues. And I would hope you were comfortable with the vendor before placing that kind of order! :wink:

I showed the insert photo to a friend at a shop and he says its authentic. There are 2-3 different inserts going for some brands. He says check the bands very carefully though

I've seen lots of cigars that have bands that look like my daughter made them. Smoked GREAT and were definately the real deal. The bands are not the be all and end all of telling if a cigar is legit or not. It is one factor however. The proof lies in the way they taste, and always trust your vendor. If you don't trust your vendor, get a new vendor.
