with more and more foreclosures, guess what is occurring at an expotential rate?

with so many vacant/abandoned homes/townhomes/condos, vandalism has absolutely spiked!! opportunistic thugs are breaking into these places, and defacing the bejeevers out of them! lots of white supremacy taggings, drug and alcohol paraphernalia, even found a hand gun! and that's just in my area around Santana High!

City of Santee has already passed an ordinance stating the owner (which would be the bank) must keep up the property.

in talking with my partners, i understand this is widespread throughout the country! tis a sad sad state of affairs we're living in....:sadstare:

Same here in waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over priced Nor Cal. The blight caused by some of these homes (grass which looks like hay) and more. Once City, Manteca has had to deal with squatters and the associated issues. Serveral City Councils are taking this on.

Our next door neighbor moved out of their home and the Real Estate agent who posted the For Sale sign was not taking care of the property. I called her once with no success in getting her to take care of the issue. I called her a second time and shared with her that I would have our gardener take care of the property (at least the front yard) and through a little clause in our City's code, I would be attaching the property to recoup my costs.

You would not believe how fast they started caring for the lawn. Well, in the absence of a HOA, one had to do what one had to do.

as long as they empty it, which they don't! then, the county comes out and puts fish in the pool, and the fish eat the mosquito larvae, at least most of them....
