IRRC you can't use it, jobs has so many functions on lock down it's not funny. However if you unlock and jailbreak the phone you might be able to use the phone to it's full potential.

If and when you find out what it is (you basically modify the factory settings to open up functions and phone capabilities that have been locked/disabled), be really, really sure it's something you want to do. You could feasibly void any future software updates and support. YouTube is chock full "how to unlock iPhone" videos. Pros and cons either way.

google blackra1n to learn how to jailbreak. Mine is jailbroken only down fall is you cannot install an Apple update or it restores the phone. then you have to wait til the jailbreak is update to install it or it won't work. there also has been some issue with jailbroke phone bing taken control of by an outside person.

Having done it now, would you jailbreak another one or not?

Thanks

it all depends if the updates that Apple releases gives me the options I want. If I have to jailbreak to get those options I will do so yes.
