They will have to have 2 builds of the firmware if that's the case, us and non-us because in other countries it's an available option. It's just a matter of AT&T coming up with a pricing plan that works for *them*

non the less it's available now to us and we don't have update to the next version if don't want/not enough features to make it worth it.

In Canada, they are testing the waters with this for now, and then on January 1st, will announce what the cost will be for tethering.

That kind of pisses me off for the sole reason that I use about 200mb of data out of my 6GB of data plan each month. And now, if I want to head to the coffee shop and tether my laptop, I'll have to pay more next year? bah!

anyone had any issues with the 3.0 updates. Spoke with a guy tonight that was having problems with it slowing down his I phone. I am getting mine tomorrow and want to know before I update mine.

3.0 caused a lot of problems on my first gen iPhone, but through apple care I was able to get the 3G S. :applause:
