Is 16 a poor year for cigars?

Overall, I have not been impressed with 2016 releases. NCs and CCs. I am constantly reaching back into my humi for '13 and '15 (or older) rolled sticks. Am I way off here? If there has been a 2016 rolled cigar that amazed you, I want to know about it. LE or regular production.

Well, keep in mind most of it is freshy fresh so you're comparing apples to oranges a little bit. But I've been impressed with a few '16 releases, including Warped's Maestro del Tiempo, Cornelius & Anthony's Cornelius and Mac Daddy lines, Hererra Esteli TAA, Saka's Mi Querida... I'm sure there were others.

I must say a lot of the CCs I have bought with 2016 codes look great. I haven't smoked many of them yet tho, aside from Juan Lopez No 2s which were great!

Haven't smoked a crapload of '16 CCs yet either, but the ones I have smoked were mostly good. Smoked a '16 SC El Principe this morning that was excellent.

The AJ Fernandez "Last Call" was a damn good smoke. I think it is B&M only and may have been a limited release. I've read conflicting reports about that.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've tried quite a few that were mentioned that I was not impressed with but there are many that I have not tried yet as well. I think I just am really starting to enjoy my cigars with a couple years on them vs fresh.
