I am contemplating a "Best Olivia" that includes the following smokes

2 Famous 70th Oliva Robusto Natural (5 x 50)
2 Nub Habano 466 Natural (4 x 66)
2 Oliva Serie G Robusto Natural (4 1/2 x 50)
2 Oliva Serie O Robusto Natural (5 x 50)
2 Oliva Serie V Double Robusto Natural (5 x 54)

I know this is a good maker and better variety than the Nub sampler I was looking at.

Are the sticks good and is the value good for 40 bucks?

Thanks.

Btw, I'm new so if I am posting in the wrong place, just let me know.

I am still not sure how the newbie/trade/buy thing works.

UGH! Everything is so new and overwhelming! :dunno:

Works out to $4.00 a stick which seems like a fair deal. I've had the Nub, Serie O, and Serie G and they're all decent cigars, though I prefer them with the maduro wrapper.

Looks like a damn fine group of stoogies for $40.00 to me....comes out to $4.00 a stick and the V's are definately worth more than that.

Looks like a good deal to me. And don't worry bro, everyone has to start out somewhere. With some time, patience, and studying it'll be a great hobby to follow!

Thanks everybody. It seemed like a nice brand and mix to start with.

Detailed reports forthcoming! I hope my palette for food, wine and bourbon-barreled stouts doesn't let me down and I can make a contribution on here! :chat:

+1.

Vs and Connecticuts (which are not in this sampler, sadly) are my favorite Olivas. might as well try everything!

The site selling this sampler has a sale going on this weekend.

If you buy one of their on-sale humidors, you can get this sampler for 30% off, which works out to $30.79. The cheapest humidor is $9.99. Not bad...

Just a head-up for the OP. Could score a nice sampler for even less.
