a Pepin Ho!

You won't find me posting this every week like my buddy Allen because i'm not a newbie trying to "find what i like" (so to speak in the cigar world).... (No offense to you Allen!) Anywayz... Friday I went out and I took a La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amor robusto with me...

I think several of you know that I love robosto's.. I only got to finish 2 inches of it (so i blew out purging it and took it home) But those 2 inches were pure heaven. I'm sure that the strength is going to ramp up in the last 3rd but i could just keep going right here and be too happy! What's even more amazing was that I smoked my first PAM right before it(a PAM Corona) and enjoyed it immensely but it wasn't as good as the Mi Amor!

I had a similar experience in May when I smoked my first Jaime Garcia...
I love my Viaje LE's but these two were my BIG WOW's this year!

Thanks for the plug! I can't wait to try the Mi Amor, been hearing so many good things! And I do LOVE PAMs when I can get them--try the Natural wrapper too, X, they're as good if not better imvho than the maduro on the Padrons.

Much better and cheaper than being an Opus whoooore. At least Pepins can be bought at better pricing...good choice of cigars btw.

Sounds good, just read a article about Pepin & his little empire a sleuth of 90+ rated sticks I can't imagine this being any different. Gotta add this to my list. Whodeeni - Who knew!

have not had either of thoes Excel...The Done is touch and go for my taste profile so yes I'm in that 10% that shy's away from trying his new blends. That being said, I still try them, just wait till I hear something about them. So I guess I will have to give these a shot now thanks to you brother!!

Aside from the odd RP Vintage and Oliva Maduro the majority of my stash seem to be Pepin.

I really need to get a few more My Father Le B 1922 - what a great smoke!

Having not tried the Mi Amor, which one should I look for?
The one that's written up in all the reviews is the 6X52 toro (i forgot the name... something romantic) But the one i tried was the 5X50 robusto....

It was awesome B!

Was calling me out like that really necessary? For real?
Allen I apologize... I wasn't trying to call you out. I found it amusing how
the mods kept moving your threads and didn't want them to move this
as i was not giving a review, but having a sort of revelation...

If I offended you that was not my intention and i apologize.

Now wait a minute... you're calling someone a noob??? What's your profile say, "Smoking cigars since 05/09", right? NOOB!!! :eyepoke:
Well if i'm still considered a newb tim, there must be different levels of Noobtivity!
I know more than a lot of guys who've been smoking for years according to a lot
of people that I come in contact with... (i think it has something to do with my OCD brotha!)

When i landed here last year i was "clue...less". When everybody was
scrambling for the Dracs and Boris'.... It didn't even cross my radar...
Bet i'll end up w/ a box (or two) of the Face! *lol*

I didn't understand the culture when I first started... I remember a PIF
where Anthony (cigarkid) said he'd never tried an Anejo before. I sent him 1.
(Just 1 cigar in an empty Tubo case!) :hysterica Had I known any better i
would have sent him a 5er of my nicest sticks (but that would have been a lot of
CI rubbish to be honest w/ you so it's probably best that I didnt)...

At that time i had no idea what "the hunt" was in relations to HTF's...
so all i'm saying is my learning curve is nowhere as steep as it once was...

But that's in the NC world.... if we start talking ISOM's... im back in the same
category.... It will be interesting to see what takes place this year as i start
my slide down that slope...

Don't worry - you'll get there Excel -Though you'll have to work on your memory! At Mitch's pre-Nica herf, you must have asked me what I was smoking 3 times... in a row...

AJ... is was drunk from 3 of Cybil's Margarita's and high on life chilling w/ my
girl! And on top of that... Thank Frank tore my ass up as well! I wasn't sick but
i was definitely feeling the Nicotine Kick! Brooks said they were losing strength
but the one i smoked definitely wasn't in the final 3rd!
