say hello to our little robusto Alexandre-Olivier! born 11.13.10 at 05:55, weighing in at 6 lbs 7 oz, and measuring 18 inches.

after 5 days of prodromal labor (basically, contractions every 5-10 minutes with nothing concrete to show for them... SUPER frustrating and sleep robbing let me tell you) and 16 hours of active labor, we welcomed our little Alex to the world.
to make it even more magical, he came out on my wife's birthday!

to be honest, it still hasn't all sunk in. this is our first child, and we're just overwhelmed and amazingly tired. but he's happy, healthy, and we couldn't be happier!

Congratulations. I remember how I felt right after our daughter was born. I can relate to what you say about it not sinking in.

Our daughter is now 21. After dealing with adolescence and college tuition, I can tell you this: eventually it sinks in! lol
