Took three months in a hectic time right after the move, but the woodshop has been put into functional order again!

My lounge is only rough framed and sheathed into the corner, and some of the worktables need to be built, but it's useable finally!!!

Can't wait to dive into some "sawdust therapy" this weekend... it's been too long and I'm starting to unravel.

You guys have any projects in progress that you feel are taking too long? Post 'em up! we'll bask in our works-in-progress together!

(Pics coming tonight)

Posting Pics as promised.

I took a detached 2 car garage and converted it into a dedicated workshop. In addition, I am working on a lounge/office which will occupy one corner of the space.

Here is the situation I inherited from the previous owner of the home:

As you can see, the garage was thankfully insulated... but not finished. I installed OSB over every wall (and will be doing the same on the ceiling). The OSB is durable for a garage or shop setting, and was actually much cheaper than drywall... and easier to "finish."

I framed our the office and workbench area first... here is the bench, all 22 linear feet in a U shape configuration:

All of the shelving here was made from recycled materials, and the benches themselves were saved from the damaged good section of an IKEA... total cost for the benches and storage? 48 dollars.

Next door is my office:

Not much to look at yet... but I need to have a shop to do the finishing work! The room is 8ft by 11ft.

Here are a couple of other views of the rest of the space...

Now I can at least do some work... still need to build in all of the benches for the stationary tools... and build the outfeed table for my delta cabinet saw... once that is done I'll be pretty pleased.

Heat goes in in a couple of weeks... just in time!
