I still remember the first time I heard an ICP song... My brother told me I had to listen to it. The song was called "Miracles"... Just listen to it, hell, watch the music video for added confusion. The best part of it is when the "singers" are describing a plethora of amazing things (that I will agree are pretty miraculous - Like the human body), and then comes the lyric, "And f**kin' magnets, how do they work?!"

Ok, I will confess. I have been an ICP fan for 14 yrs. Have seen them over a dozen times and have actually gone to one of their Gathering of the Juggalos festivals. To top it off, my first tattoo was an ICP influenced tat (which, in all honesty I still like). BUT...when I heard this cover, even I had to shake my head. I don't really understand what they were thinking. I listened to about half of it and turned it off. For a band that has actually done very well for themselves without regular play on the radio or music video channels, I can't quite figure out why they'd do something like this.
All of their new stuff sucks. You gotta keep in mind they are totally a gimick band. When they start straying away from the things that make them "the Insane Clown Posse" they for sure are garbage. Like the Miracles song mentioned earlier. No one gives a shit what they say on a serious (if you can call it that) front. They made their name rapping about silly, morbid and violent stuff. If you want to hear a song rather humorous yet explicit, download their song "To Catch a Predator". Its about them pretending online to be a young girl, and when the pedophiles show up to the house they slaughter them. Who knew they had morals? LOL

Out of respect for another brother then, I'm going to try to be as polite about this as possible, but to me, ICP represents a perfect example of why America is one of the most poorly educated Nations, per capita, in the first world. Their promotion of ignorance, stupidity, and lack of intellect... horrifying, and the kind of attitude that made the rest of the world think all Americans are bumbling retards (which many, especially the young ones, are).
Its ok man, you can rip em all you want. I wont take offense because I realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm sure we can agree though that ICP arent the only bands that do what you describe. I guess, then, maybe you should be happy they DONT get regular publicitiy like other "shock" acts such as Marilyn Manson and GWAR do. I think the only thing that someone would (and maybe should??) respect about ICP is that they came up broke, poor, dropped out of school and figured out how to make a comfortable living doing SOMETHING legal. Even if you dont like what they represent. They could have stayed broke, on welfare and became drug dealers like a lot of their friends did. Instead they worked their asses off and continue to do so to get what they have. Fortunately for me, my parents raised me well and I can distinguish the difference between entertainment and reality.

They do have quite the following. As much as I dislike their music, I can't hate on their ability to hustle up some bucks. As its been stated, they are mearly just entertainers.
As for the dumbing down of America, I would blame the sorry excuse for a public school system rather than ICP.
