Hey guys, wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
My name is James, I am 29 and currently live just outside of Jackson Michigan (1/2 hour from where the NASCAR track is). I've been smoking cigars for many years, but really have found my passion in the past few years despite my limited financial funds due to being a poor college student and unemployed for a few months. I'm currently working in a "cigar shop" or 3 really as I travel between stores in Battle Creek and Jackson. I use the quotes mainly due to the fact that we have RYO cigarette business which accounts for alot of business in all our stores. The true cigar shop mentality is here as every employee in all 4 stores are passionate about cigars, but the atmosphere compared to other shops I have been to is lacking.
I was married for 2 years and during my divorce I lost 99% of my cigar collection and have not recovered from that yet. That was two years ago and life just happened to go downhill to the point that buying cigars to stock back up is not a part of the plan yet. I'm mainly a 2 cigar a day guy buying from my work which has its ups and downs.
Right now I'm on the last 2 inches of a Viaje TNT that we just got in, pretty tasty smoke, I'm definitely a fan of Viaje blends and have enjoyed sampling all of the offerings we get in the store (which is still limited).
I'm looking forward to connecting with everyone here and possibly being opened up to cigars which are not available to me around here, as well as finding a few smokes which I can get on the cheap side to get my humidor restocked. I have 2 Edicion de Silvo's which made it out of the wrath of the ex and I have been holding on to for 6 years now, they give me hope that I will be able to get back into having my own humidor stocked up one day soon, until then, they will be cherished from afar and remain that symbol in my life.
Cheers to everyone from nowhere ( I got that name because I have moved no less than 6 times in two years since my divorce), and I hope to connect with you very soon.
James
