Johnny-O! Robusto (5 X 50)- World Famous T-cap,Uncut Foot

Appearance: Natural/Light Colorado shade wrapper. Well constructed with a few light veins.
Pre Light: Barnyard
Cold Draw: Mild Hay and grape skins
Age:Fresh

⅓ : A smooth toasted nuttiness with a mild graham sweetness on the finish with a minor touch of spice. The burn is even with the draw being not to firm nor too loose.

⅔ :The nuttiness increases as well as the spice, leaving behind a nice mild chocolate and leather finish. Burn continues to be even with a faint resting smoke. A smoky woody flavor joins the mix as the chocolate flavor makes it self more pronounced. The body right now is at a low medium.

3/3: The nuttiness has returned with some strength and is competing with the chocolate sweetness for center stage , and left behind a balanced mixture of the two on the finish.

I really enjoyed this cigar and will certainly be putting some away to age to see how they transition. Thanks again Mr.O

How much age was on this when you smoked it?

I have a bundle of CGs that were out of this world fresh but are still (seven-plus months later) not that great once they started aging. I also have a bundle of pigtail robos that I haven't gotten to smoke at all. Two were completely plugged, the second after dry-boxing for 48 hours, so I'm going to sit on them for a year.

Thanks for the review!

Thanks brother! This one was ROTT (came in on Tuesday), well it actually spent 24 hours in my humidor at 68% . I didn't have any burn or draw issues. I have some of the darker CG's that are approaching a year and a half of age,so I think it's about time to check in on them and see how they're smoking.

I've only smoked these fresh (about a month or less on them) and were great! I've heard once they go into their sick period, a month or two after rolled, they usually need to be put down for at least 9 months to a year before they get good again! They are beautiful cigars and I'm hoping the ones I let age turn great again!!

Nice review Habano, thanks! I've been on a johnny-o binge lately all fresh, exactly how you described them!!

I've heard across the boards that a year is definitely a good time to let them sit. I've been on a binge too brother, to the point where I'm filling up ziploc bags with humistat sticks lol
