BOTL,

Anyone happen to have setting for the Johnson Controls A419 handy? I want to make sure I have all the correct settings to mantain between 65-67 both temp and humidity. Then i can decide where to drill a hole and run the temp probe through the back or bottom of the fridge.

As I read through the manual I only see that this unit controls temperature....I do not see anything regarding humidity....am I missing something?

Nope Eric you read right, but the avanti I got doesn't go over 64 with a 8 degree difference according to the avanti tech. So just cause the display says 64 it could only get to 56/57 and that's acceptiable to them. With the JC a419 and 65% beads I can make it 65/65 with very little effort or energy.

Try this:

Setpoint (SP): 70 def F or 65deg if you wish.
Differential (dIF): 2 (that gives you 68-72/63-67 degrees)
Anti-Short Cycle (AsD): 5 minutes
Temperature Offset: 0 (shouldn't be used)
Sensor Failure: 1

You can mess with the differential to tighter tolerances if you wish (i.e. +/- 1 degree), but keep an eye on how often your unit is cycling on/off. I use a similar unit with a kegerator, but of course my beer isn't humidity sensitive ;)

Regards,
Randy

Good point about the SF, I guess you'd want it to 0, else you'd get some frozen sticks! Did you run the AsD to the max at 12?

Randy
