Now, I know what you are thinking... WTF A JLP?! lol, maybe you aren't thinking that.

Thanks to Scott (Moglman), I was sent a few of these lovelies to scope out. I had to smoke it today! After a quick sniff and cut of the cap, I then lit it and I was in business. The draw was tight, but manageable.

To be honest with you guys, I started writing in my journal about this smoke and then put down my pen.

There was something about this cigar, something just raw and down to earth about it. The cuban twang and flavor were there, the earthiness was there, and there were no frills, no noticeable flavors, just wonderful mouthfulls of cuban smoke for about 45 minutes.

So there's my review. I know it's short, but there's not a lot to say. It's back to basics with this cigar and I loved it for some reason. I wouldn't call it a yard 'gar or an everyday smoke. IMHO, to me, this was a great smoke because I didn't have to concentrate on the intricacies of it like I have to with a lot of others.

If I had to choose an occasion to smoke this, I would say that it would be awesome while camping. Not in a motorhome or travel trailer, but really roughing it. Getting in touch with all the good things God put on this earth, and just forgetting about all the complications of day to day life.

This will be one of my next purchases, and I am sure of it. At just over 2.50 a smoke, it's a great deal.

I received a 5 pack of these for free with another order. I can say that nothing stood out for me with this cigar except the price I paid for it. I don't think I'd ever buy it. I'd rather have one MC#2 then 4 of these JLP's. Just my opinion, different strokes for different folks.

I think that cigar makers have become so adept at squeezing flavors into cigars, that its not very often that we enjoy a cigar that just tastes like a cigar.

Thanks for the review! This was one that is on my "to-try" list, maybe I can squeeze it into next months budget.

I also received a free 5 pack of the Cremas.........for the price (free) they made OK golf cigars. Actually, during a scramble tournament, I gave one away and smoked the other 4. Like I said, OK for golf, but I would not buy any.

I have had a couple of them and have been happy with them.

Not a smoke to celebrate winning the world series or a hole in one but a decent low cost flavorful cigar.
