Thanks to Todd, I had another one of these to try out, and let me just say it was wonderful.
My beverage of choice was a glass of delicious dihydrogen monoxide.
The construction of this small cigar was not overly impressive, much like the other one. It had one large vein that ran the lenth of the cigar and was quite bumpy. It had a golden-brown toothy wrapper that had a dull sheen and was slightly silky.
As I cut the cigar, I took a whiff of the foot. It smelled slightly musty, but not offensive, and also had hints of cedar. The prelight draws were much the same, except that a slight sweetness seemed to be poking through.
I then took a flame to the cigar and the immediate cuban aroma filled my nostrils. It was very woody and nutty. The first draw was bliss. It tasted almost identical to a peanut butter cookie with ample smoke and a delicious salty twang.
For the first quarter, it kept this flavor, which was amazing. The burn was very even. In the beginning of this section, the cigar had an ever-so-slight ashy taste that quickly subsided. Toward the end of the first quarter, a lovely cinnamon spice began its debut.
Hitting the halfway point, the sweetness faded a tad, but this was probably due to the fact that I was flying on nicotine. I noticed the twang and saltiness kicked up a notch, and the room note was now woody and smelled almost like sweet flowers.
Three quarters through the smoke the ash had turned dark gray with black stripes, the twang was set to full speed, and the lovely peanut butter cookie flavor is back, much to my delight. It took me a bit to figure out what the new player was, but it seemed that some vanilla sneaked in when I wasn't paying attention. This became even more apparent when I ran my tongue around my mouth.
The finish was superb, when it got just short of an inch, the wrapper split on me, so I just pulled it off. It was less than paper thin anyway. It tasted much like the start except that it was hotter, obviously, and it was quite a bit more spicy. By this time my lips, teeth, and gums were compleltely numb.
I laid it to rest at 3/8 of an inch after enjoying it for just shy of 45 minutes.
I also noticed something interesting. I could stare at grass for what seemed like hours on end. Something about the midday shadows, I guess.
All in all, A+ for this smoke.
It gets my
