On this anniversary of D-Day, I wanted to take an opportunity to thank all the veterns that risk their all for us as a country and as a people. Especially all the WW2 vets on this "Day of Days". If you have never done so, try and find time to talk with a WW2 vetern. They are the ultimate heroes but they are also passing away. Say thank you while you still have a chance.

Cheers and thank you

Tim

I have had the chance to talk to some WWII Vets. The stories they can tell is just amazing. They are a tough group of Veterans like they all are.

In middle school, i was lucky enough to do a verteran interview program for our school and the library of congress. I will never forget the three WWII vets that i had the upmost priviledge of talking to. Amazing stories and my heart goes out to all the D-Day'ers. Talking to those people was a great experience and thank you to all of our current brothers and sisters serving in this country's great armed forces. God Bless.

I'm really fortunate in that my job allows me to talk with WWII vets quite a bit. Every one of them has an interesting story to tell, and most are really quite humble guys who see themselves as a guy who was just doing what had to be done. National Treasures, every one. I've been fortunate enough to meet a number of Medal of Honor recipients as well. Most of them don't like the term MOH "winners", because they weren't competing for a "prize", but were just "doing what any one of my buddies would have done".
