Just lit a H.Upmann #2(2001).

First one I've had.

I'm 1/2 inch in. So far it draws perfectly and is burning great. However, I'm not getting all the flavor I hoped for.... We'll see i guess.

....wait.... Is it?....yes..... I spoke to soon it seems... Just landed some excellent flavors! Sweet and a bit earthly. It's wierd it's a good mellow, but feels kinda heavy at the same time. Hard to explain.

These are mysterious and complex No.2. They can disappear mid smoke for a few moments and then all of a sudden deliver a wave of delicious flavor. Always good to taste one from the box before buying, but sometimes that strategy doesnt work so well with the R&J No.2

Enjoy your smokes,

Cheers

Strangely these are smoking completely differently than the '09 H.Upmann Mag 50 and the Mag 46.

just grabbed a box of these and mag46 during a sale :) couldn't pass the price.
Hoping for big things. Fairly sure it's 09 though. Was hoping for 08 as all H.Upman from 08 I have had were fantastic

2008 was a great year for h. upmann, went through a couple boxes of the mag 46 and couldn't be happier.

I've been interested to compare these in a day tasting with Dips,Montes and VRs. See if my palate holds up by the 4th.
