In honor of the wife giving birth to our second daughter and fourth child today I lit up an Opus Petite Lancero Maduro tonight. What a cigar. One of the few that lived up to expectations. I can say for a fact that it was top 3 all time Opus for me.
It had amazing complexity and lots of strength. The begining had a good bit of pepper then it smoothed out into a total flavor bomb. Tons of smoke and great burn made it a joy to smoke. Other flavors that dominated were cocco, honey, lots of caramel and licorice near the end. Some leather and wood mixed in. If it sounds like it was complex that's because it was.
I couldn't think of a better cigar for the occasion. Thanks goes out to a great friend that gave it to me for this occasion.
