So here I am after a year of getting serious about smoking, I figured it was time to join a forum. I have not had much luck in forums in the past, but i think that may be different with this forum as it is aimed more at the adult crowd.
I walked in to my local cigar shop sometime in December of 2010 looking for a Onyx or Macanudo as those are the only thing I had smoked with friends up till that point. As I wandered aimlessly around the humidor the guy from the front came in and introduced himself. I told him what I had smoked and if I recall correctly he had me try a My Father, well of course I liked it and and I came back for more and more, each time he would have me try something different. One day he told me to go to cigaraficionado.com and watch the video's on cigar 101. That is when i got very interested. Since then I have bought many different Sampler packs from multiple online stores, I also have tried just about everything I can get my paws on. I am very partial to Pete Johnson stuff and will be on the lookout for a vamp, face, boris, and frank on my cigar journeys.
recently I have been able to acquire a Monti #2, Cohiba especial 2002, and romeo & Julieta all from Cuba.
For my Birthday my wife got me a Davidoff Millennium, I still have yet to smoke it, but I did smoke a "R" the other day and loved it.
I certainly do love the full range of cigars as full and rich one day and smooth and light the next seems to be my trend.
But the Monti #2 is the front runner so far for me.
