I was in Tampa for work for the past couple of days (looks like I'll be back there on Monday too), so yesterday I finished up a little early so I decided to go for a walk from the Riverwalk area to Ybor City to check out the cigar scene. Even though I've been in Florida for the past 5 years I haven't had much of an opportunity to get up there, so it was my first time. I stopped by King Corona and picked up a few sticks, and they had this Kaña Cuban Coffee Roasters there. It caught my eye and I happened to be out of coffee back home so I picked up some of the Hialeah Blend. The guy at the shop said that he enjoyed this stuff so much that they changed to Kaña from a coffee roaster they had been using for several years just a couple weeks ago.
Just wondering if anyone had tried this stuff? They market it as "Cuban coffee" (a phrase which I associate with cortadito, but I am not a huge fan of all that sugar) but I plan on just making it as a regular drip.
