I apologize for creating a mundane post about the weather. But it’s crazy hot and thought you might enjoy reading a portion of the Excessive Heat Warning for Beaufort County, SC,

Issued by The National Weather Service
Charleston, SC
10:33 am EDT, Wed., Jul. 13, 2011

HEAT INDEX VALUES: MAXIMUM HEAT INDEX VALUES 114 TO 119 DEGREES. A FEW LOCATIONS COULD EXPERIENCE BRIEF PERIODS OF DANGEROUS HEAT INDICES AROUND 120 DEGREES AS THE SEA BREEZE PUSHES INLAND THIS AFTERNOON.

I hear on the news its also hot up north and into the midwest.
Stay cool all.

Wow! That's crazy hot. We had been in the 100's here the last 2-3 weeks but got a break right now with low 90's, high 80's through the wknd.

I wouldn't even walk outside to get my mail in 120 degree weather, unless of course I was expecting cigars.

We had it almost that bad on Mon and Tues. When I left for work yesterday morning at 5:30 am it was already 87 degrees with about 90% humidity. Thankfully a front came through and cooled things off a bit. Be safe in that crap.

Lol. Being from South Louisiana it just stay's hot during June, July, August, and September. I mean hot and humid enough that you change cloths at least twice a day from sweat. I change several times on the weekends if I'm working in the yard. Off to Chicago next week for business can't wait.

BTW, it's so hot here it can be hard to breath outside.

Yeah here in Charlotte it's so hot that my skin just hurts when I walk out to my car. Having no A/C in my car sucks...

I couldn't operate in those conditions. We get to low 90's and it becomes too hot to work lol. I have never actually had to walk around in weather that was above 105 degrees, but that one day when I was working on a roof-top unit, I tested the temperature where I was working, and it read 58 C...which is 136 F (that was in the sun not shade). For the 2 hours I was up there, I was extremely uncomfortable to say the least. I don't know how you texans do it

It's a chilly 86 here this afternoon, but a round of thunderstorms rolled in last night/this morning and chilled things down a bit. It's been running in the high 90's to low 100's for the past several days. It's even worse if you're in the tornado area cause there's no shade. I feel for those guys out there doing the debris removal. I personally love the humidity, but it does start to get a bit sultry when it's much over 100 degrees. Makes me want to kick back with a Mojito and a cigar .

That humidity is a killer. Glad I don't live in Chicago anymore. I'll take the AZ dry heat of 110 anyday of humidity. Only issue is I get in panic mode when cigars are waiting for me in the mailbox:devilhead. Got some today that have been traveling via slow UPS and they will definately have to spend some time in the wineador.
