To small for my taste. My 10.1 Samsung Tab fits the bill nicely and I have book reader apps on it and they work fine.

My kindle was a little small for my taste too....and then when I sat on it in an airplane it cracked and broke....oh well. My friend has a nook and she loves it. Can't personally speak towards it though.

I'd have one in a heartbeat if the wife hadn't already picked up a color nook. Though I do think a larger screen version would be nice.

I think it's a great piece of hardware. It's the first real competition to the iPad that has come out. Sure I'd rather buy another iPad than one of those-but it really appears to do well at what it is designed for. I personally hate the tiny screen, but it's also significantly cheaper-so that's understandable. I will probably pick up a Kindle Touch the next time I have to fly, just because the battery life for books will outlast my iPad or Mac book Air.

My wife just bought an ipad and yeas it does have a larger screen etc. but I'm looking at the price. I don't need a cell phone in it, all I really want is to be able to do some surfing on my home wifi when I'm on the porch or at the B&M. At the moment though, I'm thinking either ipod touch, or the kindle fire. The tough gets me more functionality but a smaller screen for around the same price in the 8gb size.

I hate decisions, lol.

I do a lot of browsing and even posting on here on my iPhone and I have to tell you, it can get tedious because of the small screen. It works, but given the option, I would do it on something with a larger screen.

I just got a droid bionic which has a 4.3" screen. If I were to get a tablet, the screen would have to be a lot bigger than the fire. The specs are nice, as is the price, the screen size is a killer for me. A touchpad with android OS is the way I would go if I were trying to keep it cheap.
